Elegance String Quartet is a classical crossover ensemble from Philadelphia, PA. Originally formed in 2010 by Rajli (Ray) Bicolli, the group has become one of the most sought-after quartets for live events and concerts throughout the region. Besides playing the classics, their creative programming includes an eclectic mix of music from rock, pop, and the movies. Elegance String Quartet is praised for writing their own renditions of all the songs that they play, giving the group its own original and unique sound.
In 2018 ESQ was chosen to perform at Bristol Riverside Theater for the premier production of the new musical, The Rivals, and they are the highlight performance of the Camden Comic Con event that takes place annually at Rutgers University in Camden, NJ. Musicians of ESQ are also featured in the movie, The Upside, that premiered in theaters 1/11/2019. The core musicians of the quartet are Aisha Dossumova and Alfiya Latypova on violins, Set Rodriguez on viola, and Ray Bicolli on cello.
